The Story 

One year ago, Garden City Church was given our beautiful campus in Silicon Valley. We spent that first year renovating the entirety of our main building and our front and back yards. We are now raising funds to renovate our secondary building, which we’ve named “The Ark” because it is a huge space full of potential to welcome people and care for them with God’s love. Built in 1974, The Ark was originally used as a preschool and as a large space to host various ministries and events. This 8,000 square foot space currently sits in disrepair and unusable condition.

The Vision

We are growing as a church, and we desire to again open up the doors of The Ark for life and ministry. We will renovate The Ark as a large flexible space to meet a variety of our growing church’s needs and opportunities: youth ministry, events, food service and banquets, children’s ministry, leadership training, receptions, community outreach and service, office space, sanctuary overflow, and church planting.

The Ask

To accomplish our vision we need to raise $360,000. Once we reach the halfway mark, $180,000, we will start our renovation. And once we start, the project can be completed in just 3 months. We are asking everyone who is part of Garden City Church to join together to do 2 things: 

  1. Give generously to fund this renovation. 

  2. Pray big for this renovation—pray that we can raise this money very quickly so that we can start using this space for life and ministry. 

The Details

Your financial gifts to The Ark/Capital Campaign are fully tax-deductible. 

Garden City still needs your regular and generous giving to fund this year’s budget. In addition to your standard giving, you can designate financial gifts to our renovation project in the following ways:

  • Online: Check the “Capital Campaign” box. Give by Debit, Credit, or Bank Account; you can also create a recurring gift.

  • Stock or Cryptocurrency: Email our bookkeeper once you’ve sent your stock or cryptocurrency gift, designating your donation to our Capital Campaign.
