Welcome to Garden City Kids!
Garden City Kids wants to fascinate kids with the love of Jesus and have a lot of fun doing it! This happens on Sundays in our Kids’ Ministry and throughout the week as families disciple their kids. We’re here to partner with families as they raise their kids in the good news of the Gospel.
Gospel Foundation
The Gospel is central to all we do in Kids’ Ministry. Through the Bible, kids discover God’s rescue plan for the world. They learn how Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect life, died for our sin, and rose again to give new life as God’s children to all who believe. This creates a culture of grace in our ministry. We do this by using the Gospel Project Curriculum.
Making Disciples
We believe Jesus’ call to make disciples begins with kids. Jesus saw kids as important. He loved them and welcomed them. He even said that His Kingdom belongs to those with hearts like children in Matthew 19:14. At Garden City Kids’ we want to pass on a heart for discipleship to our kids so they can share the good news of Jesus with others.
What to Expect on Sundays:
4 Kids' Ministry Classes on Sundays
Babies (6mos-19mos)
Walker/Toddler (20mos-4 yrs)
PreK-2nd Class
3rd-5th Grade
Babies & Toddler Class
Classes begin 15 mins before church starts. Kids get Checked In at the start of church at Kids’ Check in table and then taken to their classroom.
PreK-5th Grade Class
Kids Checked in at the beginning of church and then join their families for singing. After announcements they are dismissed to their teachers and head to their classrooms for Storytime & Games. Parents come to the classrooms to sign them out after church.
Kids’ Ministry Leader Guidelines
Each Sunday, we have 2 Kids' Ministry helpers serving in each classroom. All our Kid’s Min Team has had a background check. Our #1 rule is that our adults are NEVER alone with the kids. We always have 2 or more adults serving in a classroom.
