Kids' Director

As Kids’ Director, Cindy is passionate about helping kids become lifelong followers of Jesus by caring for the children of Garden City and equipping the team of leaders who come alongside families to fascinate kids with the love of Jesus.

God captured Cindy’s heart at the age of four, giving her a lifelong conviction that children are never too young to know and follow Jesus. A fourth-generation San Jose native, she grew up serving alongside her grandmas at churches and Sunday Schools throughout South San Jose, experiences that further fueled her passion for investing in the hearts of the next generation. She and her husband, Joe, have been married for 28 years and are the proud parents of their two adult sons, Ethan and Lucas Garcia.

When Cindy is not cultivating the hearts of children, her second favorite thing to cultivate is her garden. She loves going on walks, having long conversations in her backyard, and enjoying a good book. Cindy graduated from San José State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and a minor in History. If you ask her about her garden, you just might not get her to stop talking.
