Our Sunday services are powered by an incredible group of people and we’ve got lots of areas for you to serve! We believe members are contributors, and that we only do church as a body where everyone has a unique role to play. We will train you in all the areas mentioned below, all you have to do is be willing to serve!

Serving at Herbert Hoover Middle School

  1. Complete the online volunteer application.

  2. Fill out the TB form, and have your doctor sign off on it.

  3. Get it signed by a medical professional.

    This can be anyone who is a medical professional, it does not have to be your primary care physician. This step does not require getting a TB prick test unless you are deemed at-risk by the TB form questionnaire. You can usually submit this form to your primary care physician via a documents portal at your healthcare provider.

  4. Email your completed TB clearance form to volunteer@sjusd.org.

  5. Get fingerprinted: Once you have submitted the two items above, the district will contact you to schedule a free fingerprinting appointment at the San Jose Unified District Office located at 855 Lenzen Ave, San Jose 95126. These fingerprinting appointments get booked way out into the future, so we recommend calling the office to request the first available time.

Processing takes 1-30 days to receive If you have a common name, such as Sarah Smith, it takes longer to complete the background check.
